Idea #127: Baked Physics Data as Strips in NLA editor

Written by Morgoth Bauglir the 27 Aug 10 at 05:10. Category: Particles. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Moving baked physics animation to a different time would be very easy when the baked data were available as a strip in the NLA editor. This would remove the nesseccity of rebaking physics when retiming animation most of the times.

Solution #1: "Add baked physics data" menu option in NLA editor
Written by Morgoth Bauglir the 27 Aug 10 at 05:10.
Placing a "Add baked physics strip" menu option in the NLA editor's add menu, that adds a strip for the selected object's baked physics data.

Since physics systems can have named caches, it should be possible to integrate these NLA strips quite nicely and (I guess) easily too.
