Idea #436: Paste the image in the image editor

Rationale
When you want to load a background image, for example, you can load it or you can select one from the image editor.

I think it would be nice to paste an image directly into the image editor without having to load it. This could be implemented as an addon.

I think this would be rather simple for a guy with some experience coding addons. Unfortunately, I'm not the best programmer that you can find so I hope I'm not saying something that is really hard.

Solution #2: Drag and Drop

You can already drag and drop an image into the UV/Image editor window to open it there or drag and drop into the 3d view to automatically make it a background image.
