Other 3D apps I’ve used can control the density/transparency and colour of the shadows. This is such an extremely valuable option I can’t believe its not already in Blender!

Rather than useing the current method of importing materials to your projects through amending it would be really handy to load and save them seperately and also to browse them as thumbnails.

Considering all the hoopla we have to go through to achieve the perfect render by altering our textures with an inverted gamma curve then then applying a gamma curve to the final render to fix the lighting and shadows; why not have an option to make the lighting and shadows light the scene using a curve!! maybe this is possible!! maybe its a lack of sleep or the three or four glasses of muscat liqueur talking but hey, right now I think this might be a good idea :D

Currently you are only able to add or remove a material from objects one at a time. I’d like to be able to select multiple objects and add/remove materials.

Rendering a region is a great feature and would be even more useful if you could have the previous rendered image stay in the render window and just have the rendered region update.

Select an area of the screen to render. This option is available in a few 3D apps and really speeds up the tweaking process because its only rendering a small portion of the screen.

As far as I can tell the current method for excluding/including objects from light lists is done through materials/groups. I think it would be A LOT easer for the user to do it by object.
