It would be nice to have an option to quickly flip vertically or horizontally a background image .

It would remove the need of doing it with an other software just to do this simple task .

overall ui color button changer

Wouldn't it be nice to have a "global background color" button to change all the editors background color only once ?

Of course it would be cool if extended to all the common editors ui color settings , that would give us 5 more buttons :

global background color
global text color
global texthighlight color
global header color
global panel color

Then we will still be able to refine UI color by editors window like we can now .

Currently if you want to change the global color theme , you have to go in the preference theme and change one by one each color for each aspect of the editor ... You can change everything once or twice but in long term it's a real pain in the ass , if i may say .

quick way to name/rename bones

Currently you have to RMB on the bone then you go to the Armature bones panel , "BO" text field , LMB on it to enter in edit state , finally you can change the name of it , that makes quite a lot of back and forth if you have several bones.

You can also change the bone name in the properties panel of the viewport (less movements but they are still there) or in the outliner (you can ctrl+LMB on them , if you have a hierarchie you'll have to expand them first though).

It can be cool if there was a short cut involved in this re-naming process, one that would open a pop up text field in edit state under the cursor, allowing you to enter the name much more quickly IMHO .

I was thinking about ctrl + RMB which doesn't seem do to anything in any mode currently .

ctrl + RMB a bone , type the name , enter ;
ctrl + RMB another one , type the name , enter ;
etc .

disable modifier by type/all

An option to disable modifiers by type or all of them would be nice .

The outliner seems to be the best place to add this , i think ...

MMB in the viewport to pan by default

Why do that ?

Cause in every other editors , MMB alone is used to pan ...

There's only the 3D viewport that do it like that (shift+MMB).

I've changed that in my preference of course , but i still think that the default way is kind of strange .
