Description
I would love to be able to assign a user defined color to vertexgroups and groups.

This would help to distinguish features in comples meshes and scenes.

This bakes no sense since a vertex can be a part of more then one group, same with objects.

Ok so the idea wasn't quite phrased correctly and thought through but that's why we have this right? Is it possible to provide a way to color the wireframes, selected meshes and selected objects in a certain color according to a user defined way? As stated above this would help organize complex scenes and meshes.

musk, maybe you could think about a colouring system more indepth and post a proposal to be voted about? The idea was closed just because of writing down idea before thinking more in depth first, not that colouring wouldn't help in orientation.
