Description
I use this setting a lot in Rhino to figure out reversed normals. Its a lot faster than showing normals and works a lot better in complex meshes. By setting the back-facing polys to red, for example, they really jump out from a white model.

completly agree!
see here for example (can you spot the reversed normals?):

I voted "yes", although I wonder how it would look when the back faces and front faces of an object get superimposed (with back geometry view "on")

Can't you just select all faces and hit cntl+n to recalculate all normals so they face out? Or is there a reason you want some facing backward?

This would come in really handy figuring out complex meshes :-)

Yes, we need it.

I would do so as well.
The different colour would be nice to check whether it worked or not. Recalculating normals does not work for non-manifold meshes but it is not recommended to create such meshes, anyways.
