Description
When you hit 'delete' or 'x' it is since you want to delete. Having a popup asking if you want to delete the selected objects is unnecessary, since, if you press delete on accident, you only need to hit undo, and no harm is done. There should be a way in the user preferences to disable the delete confirmation.

Perhaps an option to show / not show popup warning for object deletion on Preferences Window.

I make mistakes all the time. I can't count the number of times I've accidentally hit the XKey, and I still haven't figured out why Blender's undo works sometimes and not others. Every confirmation I can get about these things is one less headache. -1
